THIS GUY is awesome. He appears at Expedition Everest, AK, and when he appears is when you know shit’s gonna get intense. lol
As a happy and lucky cast member, there was this week at the beginning of the year where Disney decided we were awesome and let us, AK cast members, have an “Expedition Party”. I don’t recall the exact date, but we were allowed to stay at the park after our shift ended until a certain time(maybe 9pm, I’m not sure) to just ride Everest as many times as we wanted. That’s right. As many times as we. fucking. wanted. And they also got us free ice cream! That’s a magical moment right there.
I went there after a kinda late shift for my work location(at FOLK we’d usually be done at 17h10 if we weren’t closing the park), around 18h something, and BANG!
Ice cream and Everest.
I did it 12 times.
12.
While eating ice cream.

Hey there :) You find out your role in you acceptance email, yes. But not the actual work location, it’s more a situation of “ok so we accept you to be attractions but we’ll decide your work place and won’t tell you until you get here (insert evil laugh)”

This used to be my room at Vista. My second room, actually, but I don’t have pictures of the first one. (It was a mess anyway) Those weren’t happy times, actually. haha I was stuck with living with people who didn’t like each other, etc. But just for a month, ‘cause most of them had to leave and when that happens you have to leave the apartment as well. So I was tranferred to another apartment at Vista and it was awesome ‘cause I loved my roommates and all.
Anyway, my bed was the blue one. I loved my room to death, it was comfy and welcoming and I just hng
Now I feel like my new room has to be even more awesome and I’m full of ideas. My favorite plan at this time is to put as many posters of band covers that I like on the walls as possible. A lot. Like, A LOT. I hope my rommate won’t hate me for it, ‘cause it won’t be made of only good bands, you know… Everybody has guilty pleasures… And I won’t say Selena Gomez, I won’t.
Don’t judge me.
Hey there! lol That sounds awesome, actually, since we’re gonna start the magic together haha Você é de onde, é de SP?
Yes, it’s pretty awesome. And you should totally do it when you’re in college! What’s some more years when your dream is big enough, right? :)
Also thank you, will do!

So before showing you guys my room at a Disney housing complex and how I plan on decorating my next one, I’ll tell you more about living as a cast member and how magical it can or cannot be. Just because I feel like it. Tada.
If you didn’t know, Disney offers to their employers housing complexes(you have to pay, but yeah), and it has 4 options:
Vista Way - The oldest and most known for it’s parties. It’s true, they do have house parties almost everyday. Some people say bad things about it since it’s old so technically it wouldn’t be as good as the newer ones, but really? It doesn’t really matter, and it got some adjustings last year. I guess I’ll see the results when I get back. lol And for having too many parties: all the housing complexes have them. Vista is probably just more known for it ‘cause it as been around for more time. Living at Vista sounds easier to me for it’s bus stop which is inside the housing complex and for being nearer of useful stuff(Walgreens, Wendy’s, etc). I guess my only actual complain about Vista would be that the building numbers make no sense at all. Like, the building 27 would be right by the building 36. But you get used to it.
Chatham Square - The second coolest one in my opinion. I went there to visit friends and go to parties. It’s newer than Vista but older (by, what, two years? I’m not sure) than Patterson. So the apartments are kinda bigger than the Vista ones and, well, newer. lol That’s about it. The bus stop is outside the complex but it’s right beside the entrance, so it’s fine. And the numbers make sense!
Patterson Court - Looks kinda like Chatham, and is near of it. I went there just a couple of times and during all my program I just heard of a single party there. But well, it’s not like I knew everyone and it’s parties. lol Patterson people have to use the Chatham’s bus stop, which is from a walking distance of maybe 5, 7 minutes. Sounds tiring to me, getitng late form work and still having to walk home. I know it’s not thaaat far, but if you’re tired as hell and you just got out of a packed A bus, you’ll probably be counting the seconds to get home.
The Commons - The one that holds the entrance to Europe and- Ok, kidding. But it’s more concentrated on having international people that work at Epcot. Lucky them. Of course it also has awesome asians and awesome mexicans and etc, it’s just that me loves europeans. It’s located near of Premium Outlet, so catching a bus from Vista to stop at Commons and go to spend all your paycheck on things you don’t really need always sounded like a good plan. I only went to one apartment there and it looked ok. I mean, not really different from the other ones. But again, when I was there it was having a party so maybe it wasn’t looking like it’s usual Disney apartment. Maybe.
So I guess this was really useful and just changed your lives. You’re welcome.

So yesterday I got my results aaand ta-da! I was approved! :D
I was really sick and feeling like a hyena after the rain or something BUT THEN the results happened! Disney magic is totally real, ma friends, ‘cause I’m pretty healthy now. haha
My only problem now is that I was sorted to Ravenclaw and-
Ok, being serious. My only problem is that I got sorted(it’s totally random lol they pick you by your college date or something) to be on Disney by November 13th and it’s way before my finals in college happen! Tonight before my classes I’ll talk to a coordinator to make sure it’s fine to do the tests earlier or… Well, if that doesn’t work out, I’ll probably drop the classe for this semester. For now, I mean. I can’t let this opportunity go to waste, right?
I was approved to work as Operations/Attractions and from my interview I can kinda tell it’s gonna be FOLK again or Jungle Cruise. But who knows? We’ll see!
Now I have to work on my visa and on not spending money at all! haha
And I’ll probably be posting more about my last experience. :)
